Almost 6 years ago I stumbled upon something I wasn’t really looking for…
I was a busy mom, volunteer, wife and friend.
I was dealing with my oldest son’s Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis.
I was on the yo-yo of weight loss and weight gain and not feeling comfortable in my own skin at all.
As someone who dealt with anxiety and has a mom with mental health issues, I fully recognized that I was not in a healthy place mentally or physically.
I had a gym membership I rarely used.
I was eating healthy, but was wasn’t really feeling the benefits.
I was frustrated.
A friend invited me to an online “fit club” and I figured what do I have to lose.
I joined. I started to workout daily. I started to learn more about healthy eating, realizing that I had been piecing together the wrong information prior to this and that was why I wasn’t really seeing or feeling results. BUT more importantly, I loved the community aspect and finally had a place to go for support and accountability.
2 months later I was hooked and decided maybe I might be able to be a coach!
But what exactly is a coach?
Good question!
First, I take care of myself!
I workout, I eat well and use world class supplements, and I focus on my mental wellbeing.
How cool is that- one of my main job descriptions is to take care of ME!
Next, I make friends!
I get on social media and I make friends! I connect with like minded people and learn about them. I support them and learn from them. I share my experiences and life and hope to inspire and empower them.
Finally, I help others find success with their health and wellness.
I run groups where we workout together, share recipes, daily motivation and offer each other support and accountability.
But isn’t this a pyramid scheme?
NOPE! Pyramid schemes are illegal and I am not into breaking the law!
Pyramid Schemes involve making money off of recruitment and seldom have actual goods to sell.
Multi-Level Marketing companies may resemble the pyramid “shape”, but differ in that they involve the sale of tangible goods.
Plus let’s face it, every company has a flow chart. A CEO or president at the top and employees under them (aka a pyramid)
Beachbody has been a company for 20 years and the coaching opportunity as been going strong for 12 years.
We offer programs, meal plans and supplements to help people live healthy and fulfilling lives! Every person who puts in the work and leads with helping others has the potential to earn a living from their hard work.
But I don’t have a Beachbody!
Perfect! Me, neither!
One of the biggest hurdles I hear when I talk to people who are considering coaching is that they don’t feel like they can start just yet because the need to get to a certain point in there journey first.
That’s crap!
People are inspired by real!
People need to relate to someone in order to connect.
People want to be inspired by others who are overcoming struggles, just like they are!
I started 20 pounds overweight, with like 50 friends on Facebook and I thought Instagram was a photo editing app. I was nowhere near “ready” but I am so thankful that I started anyway.
But I am really busy!
Find me someone who isn’t!
I have run my business in the cracks of my life!
I work while the boys are at school, in the car during baseball practice, first thing in the morning before everyone else gets up, at night when everyone is watching TV.
Sometimes I have a full hour to give, other times it’s 15 minutes here and there.
Just like anything else in life, if you want it bad enough, you will find the time.
But how do you actually make money doing this?
I get paid 2 ways:
1. helping people with their health and fitness goals (retail commission of 25-40%)
2. Helping people help other people (building a team or residual income)
It really is that simple. I will train you on all of this the whole way once you decide to join, but at it’s core- you help others directly or you help others help others!
